Producer Eiji Aonuma will talk about recent and upcoming Zelda games, and Nintendo will have stuff to play and buy at their booth.
Anyone who was lucky enough to get New York Comic Con passes before they sold out and has the patience to wait in long lines has the chance to see Legend of Zelda producer Eiji Aonuma. Nintendo has brought the producer over to speak about Wind Waker HD and upcoming A Link Between Worlds. The panel is scheduled for Friday, Oct. 11 at 2:45 p.m. The convention is completely sold out for the weekend – beyond the availability of a few Thursday-only passes – so if you want to attend, get there early.
Nintendo will also host competitive tournaments in classic Virtual Console games in room 1E02 at NYCC. Also in the room will be several games already on the eShop or planned for an eShop launch soon, such as BIT.TRIP Presents…Runner2: Future Legend of Rhythm Alien and Ace Attorney: Dual Destinies.
Because NYCC is the weekend of Pokemon X and Y‘s launch, attendees will be able to buy the Nintendo 2DS and the new Pokemon games starting Saturday, Oct. 12. Most people who plan to play Pokemon X and Y have likely already preordered their copies, but this will be a good chance for Nintendo to grab any impulse shoppers at NYCC who had not preordered a copy. The 2DS and X and Y will be able to play at Nintendo’s booth as well as dozens of other games.
Attendees on Sunday, Oct. 13 with children may be interested in stopping by the booth again for Kid’s Day. Nintendo will set up photo opportunities with a costumed Mario and time to play the 2DS, further proving Nintendo still has children in mind as an important demographic.
New York Comic Con takes place Oct. 10 through 13 at the Javits Center in New York City. Thursday passes are still available to purchase on the NYCC website, but all other passes are sold out.
