In the first Thief: Stories From The City trailer, Basso explains that the city’s savior may be lurking in the shadows.
Basso sure has come a long way since the original Thief trilogy. No longer a boxman, he’s now apparently at the top of the criminal underworld food chain, calling the shots while underlings do the real work. Yet despite his newly acquired power, he’s in the same boat as everyone else: The City, his home, is dying, trapped between the ravages of the Gloom and the oppression of the Watch.
But he hasn’t yet given up hope, because he knows a guy – a guy who might just have what it takes to save The City. A guy who can steal back its life – because he can steal anything! You know who he’s talking about: Garrett! Savior of The City! Man of the people! Hero to the downtrodden! Something like that, anyway.
Thief comes out in February 2014 for the Xbox 360, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, Playstation 4 and PC.
