PS Vita On Sale at Radioshack for $159.99

Radioshack Vita Sale

Until November 16th Radioshack is offering a hefty online-only discount on the PlayStation Vita.

The PlayStation Vita is an arguably expensive handheld to start playing. While Sony recently took steps with redesigns and price drops to make the portable more affordable, things like the system’s proprietary memory (also recently discounted) can still jack the actual cost of the Vita well above its base $200 price tag.

That in mind, if you’ve been itching to buy a Vita but haven’t been able scrape together all the necessary funds, you may want to pay a visit to the Radioshack website before this coming Saturday, November 16th. Likely predicting that the impending launch of the PS4 will lead to some renewed interest in the Vita, the electronics retailer is hosting an online-only sale dropping the price of both the Wi-Fi and 3G Vitas to a cool $159.99, $40 lower than the current price of $199.99.

Just personally, as someone who owns and loves the Vita, I really do have to stress that this is a great deal. The discount being offered is more than enough to cover the cost of a decently sized memory card or, in the least, take a chunk out of the price of one the bigger ones. This is, in turn, probably one of the best opportunities to buy a Vita to come around in a long time and one that you’d be smart to take advantage of.
