The Dead Space development team is auctioning a sweet pile of exclusive loot to raise money for the victims of Typhoon Haiyan.
Short but sweet: Dead Space developer Visceral Games is doing its part to support relief efforts for victims of Typhoon Haiyan by auctioning more than 50 unique Dead Space items on eBay. The list of items up for grabs includes Dead Space 3 Dev Team Editions (without the actual game, but still very cool for collectors), a Dead Space RIG backpack, a Dead Space 2 “Eye Poke Machine” hologram, hoodies, statues, art books, graphic novels and more, much of it autographed by members of the team.
All money raised by the auctions will go to Mercy Corps, a global aid agency that works to bring food, shelter, clean water and other emergency aid to victims of natural disasters, while all external costs including shipping fees are being sponsored by Electronic Arts. Bidding on these items will be open until December 16 but as often happens with charity auctions, bid amounts are already sky-high. Fortunately, you can still do a solid for the charity even if the minimum bids are out of your reach by donating directly at eBay’s Giving Works.
