The latest beta weekend for The Elder Scrolls Online is coming up and we want you to be a part of it!
Update: Some people are having issues with redeeming the codes. Here are some of the two most frequent reasons that the codes may not work when trying to turn them in for the weekend.
The number one culprit for this issue has been copying and pasting the code. Sometimes when doing this an extra space is left in either before or after the code, which can make the code non-redeemable.
The other issue that people have been encountering is the fact that they already have an active beta account. You can check if you have an active beta account by going here. Under “My Purchased Games” they will see “Beta Access” and you should already have access to this weekend’s beta weekend.
Original Story: We don’t like to make broad generalized statements, but I think that we can all agree that everyone wants to be playing The Elder Scrolls Online. We, and the good people at Zenimax Online Studios, are giving you that opportunity. We have a veritable crapton of codes which will let you play ESO in the upcoming Beta Weekend. You’ll be able to help test out the upcoming MMO that takes everything you love about The Elder Scrolls series and mashes it together into a massively multiplayer experience. We don’t know if it’s going to be a great game, but it will likely keep you at your PC and away from friends and family for at least 48 hours.
You have until Sunday, March 2nd to get your beta code, but most of you will probably be playing by then. It makes sense to get in now and start downloading the client so you can start playing as soon as the servers turn on. This beta event only runs from from Friday, February 28th, 12:00pm ET to Sunday, March 2nd, 11:59pm ET, and given the large number of keys being given away, it’s probably designed to stress test the servers before the April 11th launch.
Still, you don’t want to miss this opportunity to play one of the biggest MMOs coming out this year. Will ESO be as good as Skyrim? Will the PVP live up to its billing as a viable endgame? There’s only one way to find out.
We want as many Escapists in there as possible and the only way for that to happen is if everyone clicks here to get a beta code. You can retweet the giveaway, or follow us on Twitter, or “like” us on the Facebooks, and your unique beta code to be emailed to you.
