Kara Japhet and Gregory Lincoln, both long-time staffers of The Escapist, were wed at sunset on October 3 at the Sarah P. Duke Gardens here in Durham, North Carolina.

Born the youngest in a Navy family, the bride has enjoyed living all over the west coast, as far away as her birthplace of Anchorage, Alaska. She manages advertising operations for the company.

Also from the west coast, the groom is a native Californian. With a background in creative services and communications he oversees all production-related operations for The Escapist.

The couple met over twelve years ago in San Luis Obispo, California, moving to North Carolina and joining the team in 2004. In lieu of an immediate honeymoon, they have returned to their posts on the bridge of the USS Escapist.
