Ads for Penny Arcade Game Feature Negative Feedback

This article is over 16 years old and may contain outdated information

True to sardonic form, Penny Arcade has highlighted frothing negative comments about its game as part of its promotion.

The duo behind the PA comic strip released Penny Arcade Adventures: On the Rain Slick Precipice of Darkness, Episode One yesterday, in conjunction with Hothead Games, as well as a demo, for Xbox 360 Live and the PC.

The PA website features the opinion of a community member at Wired.com’s Game|Life blog, who ranted, “Penny Arcade sucks and is unfunny. please murder penny arcade and then yourself if you disagree with me” and “this game sucks and anyone who likes it sucks. penny arcade sucks and is as unfunny as something that’s not funny at all.”

The statements now appear as part of banner ads on PA’s website.
