AdventureQuest Worlds: Irish you the Best of Luck!

Going Green for St. Patrick’s Day

March 17th is a very lucky day, full of 4-leaf clovers, gold-obsessed gnomes, and, rainbow rats with lazer beams attached to their heads. This day is commonly referred to St. Patrick’s Day, but the heroes of AdventureQuest Worlds (www.AQ.com) know it as Good Luck Day! Join 14 million players this weekend as they adorn themselves in green leprechaun attire, wielding shamrock blades and clover staves while searching for the end of the rainbow. Legend says that a pot of gold resides at the end of the rainbow… and there is only one way to find out if it’s true or not! (And since it has been shot down, it shouldn’t be too hard to find the end… right?)

Were you around last year when we celebrated St. Patrick’s Day? No? Well hey, you’re in luck-literally and metaphorically! Last year’s Seasonal Holiday Event in the “Rainbow” map will return come Friday, along with 2010 versions of the Good Luck Day items. An Armored version of the Leprechaun Class will once again become available, so you can still show your Good Luck Day Spirit without getting pinched.

But wait! There’s more…a lot more, actually. In addition to last year’s festivities, a new one is showing up-cue the Luck Day Fair! As the name suggests, the Luck Day Fair is a festival full of new NPCs and a bunch of fun new Mini-Games that award Golden Tickets. This stackable currency will allow you to trade your hard-earned tickets in for NEW 2010 Holiday Rare items, exclusive to Good Luck Day. Since it is bad luck to spoil all the surprises in store, here’s a sneak-peek at a few of the new items:

  • The RainBow (a bow that is, well, a rainbow)
  • Mog-O’Rahilly Pet
  • Rainbow Fairy Wings
  • 4 Leaf Clover Axe
  • Prismatic Blade of Roy G Biv (color custom)

Green not your thing? New Vampire and Werewolf Rep Items will also be appearing in their respected shops come Release Day. Because of how successful the Darkovia Designs, Inc thread is doing on the Battleon Forums, we just had to add more of your ideas into the game! Because what could be more awesome than playing a game that YOU help create?
