ā€œAlien Hominid InvasionĀ is a whole new approach to our flagship title from 16 years ago, using everything weā€™ve learned along the way!ā€ said The Behemoth Co-Founder Dan Paladin of the game’s approach of not being quite a sequel or a remake. ā€œWhile the game will be familiar in some ways, it is very new and different in others.ā€

As seen in theĀ Alien Hominid Invasion gameplay trailer, it feature a reinvention ofĀ Alien Hominid HD‘s gameplay and has a cooperative focus. Up to four players will be able to play together either locally or online. Replayability is a big focus as the aliens will attempt to invade randomly generated neighborhoods that are built from hundreds of handcrafted city blocks and will get to choose their own gameplay path for a non-linear experience. The reimagining will also have three different difficulty levels for players to tackle: Friendly, Normal, and INSANE.

Other additions to theĀ Alien Hominid formula include new weapons, boosts, and cosmetics to unlock. Players will furthermore be able to mutate their alien by equipping new mechanics such as super speed, flight, and healing powers. Beyond basic run-and-gun shooting, players will also be able to toss enemies around and have more movement options at their disposal.
