AMC’s pictures below were released on Skybound’s website in anticipation of the show’s New York Comic Con panel this weekend, and besides serving as general tone-setters, the images show some of the cast in character.

Annet Mahendru (Huck), Aliyah Royale (Iris), Nicolas Cantu (Elton), Nico Tortorella (Felix), Hal Cumpston (Silas), Hal Cumpston (Silas), and Alexa Mansour (Hope) can all be seen in the pictures above. The cast will be AMC’s third family (figuratively speaking) in its The Walking Dead television series.

We already know a little bit about this “new world” and its characters thanks to some news from earlier this year, such as that it will be a coming-of-age story. The concept art shown in the show’s first teaser trailer points to a take on the Walking Dead universe fans are not as familiar with. Judging by the plant-covered zombie corpses, the hope for a fresher, literally or otherwise, revival of the franchise is still alive.

The new The Walking Dead spinoff is due out in spring 2020, so expect more specific details (maybe even a title?!) this Saturday out of New York.
