Nobody ever stops to think about what the Pokémon go through afterwards…
Sure, Poké battles are a lot of fun, full of adorable creatures and crazy excitement, but we never really stop and consider the effects they have on the Pokémon involved. One artist, though, is showing us exactly what happens to the little guys after a battle, and the results just aren’t pretty.
Theses pictures are by artist Justin White, a freelance illustrator out of California. According to White, the idea behind this illustration is pretty simple: “The idea was to imagine each character recuperating inside their pokeball after a long battle. Or maybe I just wanted to draw cute little pokemon all beat up.”
The pictures are available to buy as an entire poster, in both 13×19″ and 18×24″ sizes. I’m not going to lie, I kind of want to buy one, just so I can horrify all my guests.
