Cardell speaks on hero-building in a world populated exclusively by heroes:
“It’s certainly a rough topic,” responded Cardell, nodding again in agreement. “City of Heroes is a perfect example. CoH, to me, really raised the bar. In the simple interaction with the lower level NPCs: You run around the city, you see a crime, you stop the crime, and then the townspeople come up to you and thank you. It was amazing, the first time I experienced this.”
“It’s funny that they’re doing that,” he continued, “because there are a lot of things here that we’ve discussed. Where we’d like to be is that the world reflects the heroes. The world is consistently giving the players a backdrop in which their achievements are recognized.”
