Battlefield 2042 Gameplay Trailer Shows Off Grappling Hook Mechanic

Our first look at Battlefield 2042 gameplay is here, and it gives us a good look at the near-future game’s scale and intense warfare. The footage was shown during Microsoft and Bethesda’s E3 2021 press conference, confirming many theories to be true. One of the most notable confirmations of Battlefield 2042 gameplay came with the video’s showcasing of the grappling hook mechanic, but new features were highlighted too. Battlefield 2042 was first revealed this past week with a bombastic cinematic trailer from EA and developer DICE. During that first event, it was revealed that the game will launch on Oct. 22, 2021 for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X | S. Additionally, it was revealed that the game will not have a traditional campaign mode.
