Here we are, gentle readers, the big two-oh-oh. At our last centurial milestone, Cory and I revisited our earliest strip and made a few changes. For this one, we thought we’d bring out one of the most important, but least seen Critical Miss strips. This is the strip which, alongside some truly astounding luck, won us the Escapist Webcomic competition and started our careers.
On reflection, we could have told the same joke in far fewer panels, but we decided not to change much. An extra panel here, a dialogue tweak there, but for the most part, this is the same strip, only remade with an extra two years’ worth of experience.
From Cory – The Artist:
So another revised strip for another century. I honestly had a great time drawing this one up and it is always fun to go back and look at the old strips and laugh at all my terrible inadequacies as an artist (aside from the crushing realization that I put something so horrible on the interweb). But I over exaggerate, Grey and I have always tried our best and put forth utmost effort when crafting these strips and I can really only be thankful to The Escapist for giving us the opportunity and to the great fans who continue to make punny jokes long after the strip has been up. I will continue to try my hardest to bring you arts in the future and though I don’t know what will happen in the next hundred strips, I really just hope you guys (and gals) will continue to be entertained.
