Code Vein is an action RPG from Bandai Namco heavily inspired by From Softwareā€™s Dark Souls series, which Bandai Namco also published. You possess a broken Blood Code, which is normally a class that would inform your strengths, weaknesses, and skills in combat. This allows you to copy the Blood Codes of other Revenants, picking specific ā€œgiftsā€ to make your own.

Ultimately, I found combat to be really fun and the variety of weapon types encouraged a lot of experimentation. Code Vein combines Dark Souls with the anime genre to great effect. Fans of either will find something to like, but fans of both will find something to love.
