European Wii Players to Get Ninja Turtles

This article is over 17 years old and may contain outdated information

Like most schedules, the release dates for Virtual Console games on Nintendo’s Wii are different in Europe than they are in the United States. This week, Nintendo announced three new games for the European market.

Ice Climber is a climbing style game where players guide an Eskimo up a mountain side riddled with breakable ice-blocks and enemies (the enemies are breakable, too). Splatter House, originally for the Turbografx, is like a mad cross between a Hugo adventure game and the Jim Carrey movie The Mask. Players wander around in a haunted mansion in search of their lost girlfriend while wearing a hockey mask that grants them superhuman strength.

Finally, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, released for the NES in the ’80s, will be available for purchase. This arcade-style addition is the original Nina Turtles videogame. Using all four of the turtles, players set out to save the city from Shredder’s evil plot. This might also be the most difficult videogame ever made.
