Insight Editions is publishing a cookbook based on Bethesdaās The Elder Scrolls franchise. The publishing company, who had previously crafted recipe books for dishes found in the World of Warcraft and Fallout franchises, wants their new title The Elder Scrolls: The Official Cookbook to detail how to make some of the most delicious meals in Tamriel. The Elder Scrolls: The Official Cookbook will feature over 60 recipes. The dishes include Apple Cabbage Stew, Sunlight Souffle, and, of course, sweetrolls.
The Elder Scrolls: The Official Cookbook is authored by Chelsea Monroe-Cassel. Per the press release: āChelsea Monroe-Cassel is the coauthor of the bestseller A Feast of Ice and Fire: The Official Game of Thrones Companion Cookbook and the author of World of Warcraft: The Official Cookbook. Her work is a synthesis of imagination and historical research. This passion has led her to a career of transforming imaginary foods into reality.ā
For those who love Skyrim, Oblivion, Morrowind, and the rest of The Elder Scrolls series and wish to try the food from the game, The Elder Scrolls: The Official Cookbook goes on sale on March 26, 2019 and will retail for $35.
No word yet on whether or not the book contains a recipe for a thousand wheels of cheese or any bugs, but I am curious if any of the fantastical dishes within the games will get representation in the book. Obviously, it would be impossible to cook a mammoth because they went extinct after we cooked all of them, but is there a non-extinct meat based substitute that we can use to create a Mammoth Cheese Bowl? Because I really want that.
