Ford v Ferrari Review – Escape to the Movies

This article is over 4 years old and may contain outdated information

Director James Mangold, late of Walk the Line and Logan, is back withĀ Ford v Ferrari. On one level, it is a macho tale of hard men doing tough jobs and emotionally evocative cinematic storytelling. On another level, it is the true story of how auto racing legends Carroll Shelby (Matt Damon) and Ken Miles (Christian Bale) changed the face of American automotive design and put the racing world on notice as they developed the now-also-legendary Ford GT40 to defeat the once-thought-invincible cars of Enzo Ferrari at Le Mans.
