Almost every shop in Undertale laughs when you offer to sell some wares. Nobody wants to buy old junk — nobody but the secret Tem Shop. To find this special vendor, you’ll need to discover the hidden Temmie Village. Don’t worry, we’ll explain where to go if you haven’t found the place yet.

Tem Shop Gold Farming

There are two major methods for farming at the Tem Shop, but let’s start with the basics. Here’s how to find the Temmie Village, and the Tem Shop!

The Tem Shop can be exploited to sell at high prices. Choose to ‘Refuse’ the offered price and you’ll get a higher offer. This works the first time and from then on only raises the price once per eight attempts.

How to Find the Tem Shop

In the Waterfall area, you’ll enter a room where paths are lit by activating glowing mushrooms. This is right before the room with the red crystals that get darker.

Light all the mushrooms and go down the lower-right path to enter the secret Temmie Village. Here you can find the Tem Shop in the waterfall.

This is the only shop in Undertale where you can sell items.

Gold Farming Method #1: [Best] Cloudy Glasses Selling

At the Waterfall area, travel west from Undyne/Ghost’s house to find a vendor that sells the Cloudy Glasses for 30 gold. Fill your inventory with Cloudy Glasses and go to the Tem Shop.

Cloudy Glasses sell for 50-65 gold, which provides you with an easy 20-35 gold profit per sell. It only takes a minute to get from the Cloudy Glasses vendor to the Tem Shop. That’s 160 gold every two minutes or so, which help fund your adventure without truly cheating.

Gold Farming Method #2: Dog Residue Selling

For an endless supply of gold, you’ll need to collect the special Dog Residue item. This is found in a secret room beyond the Piano puzzle in the Waterfall area.

While exploring the Waterfall, you’ll reach a T-intersection that leads to a room with a piano and a hint. Using the piano lets you play notes, input these notes: Neutral, Up, Right, Neutral, Down, Down, Right. The door will open where you will get the Dog Residue.

Using Dog Residue will spawn more Dog Residue or Dog Salad in your inventory. These sell for 1-4 Gold — make sure you don’t sell all the Dog Residue, you’ll always need at least one to spawn more!
