GDC rumor mill suggests Gears of War coming to PC

According to Computer and Video Games, along with 360 Monster, who both seem to have gotten their information from TheInquirer.net, Mark Rein has confirmed that a PC version of Gears of War will happen “eventually.”

This is similar to Rein’s suggestion earlier in February that the PC conversion of the game was “inevitable.”

A PC conversion is an obvious move for the game, given its popularity and its Xbox 360 platform, which Microsoft intentionally designed to be similar to the PC, from a development standpoint. 360 Monster speculates that the PC version will be released shortly before the 360 launch of recently announced Gears of War II.
