First-person cyberpunk slasher and parkour game Ghostrunner will release on Oct. 27 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC, per a new trailer. The game is developed by One More Level, 3D Realms, and Slipgate Ironworks and being published by 505 Games and All in! Games. In this title, you follow the agile protagonist as he climbs Dharma Tower to take down Mara the Keymaster, the ruthless and tyrannical ruler of the city.
Those who preorder the game will receive two digital katanas. One of those katanas is the same regardless of platform. The other is based on the platform the player purchases the game on, such as a blue one for PlayStation 4 and yellow for Steam. It’s important to note that these platform-specific katanas will be unavailable after launch.
Additionally, an updated demo for Ghostrunner will be available on Steam starting Sept. 29.
Ghostrunner will cost $29.99 across all platforms, including PC storefronts Steam, Epic Games Store, and GOG. PlayStation Plus subscribers, as well as PC players, will receive a 20% launch discount, while a 10% discount is given to Xbox One players.
Ghostrunner was first revealed at Gamescom 2019. You can check out Elijah Beahm’s preview of the game from this past June, in which he said, “If you can stomach the weirdly masochistic combat though, Ghostrunner is a brilliant first-person platformer.”
