Godfall gameplay trailer leak

Godfall Leak Reveals New Combat Footage for PlayStation 5 Title

This article is over 4 years old and may contain outdated information

A quick (emphasis on quick) glimpse of Gearbox Publishing and developer Counterplay Games’ Godfall on PlayStation 5 has leaked online. A Reddit user shared six seconds of combat gameplay, saying they obtained the footage from an unreleased trailer that was used internally in March of last year. Though the clip is short and apparently almost a year old, this new look at next-gen gameplay seems authentic. But when viewing it, keep in mind that a lot of polish has probably been applied to the game since this build.

We don’t know much about Godfall yet, as Gearbox Publishing and Counterplay Games announced the game just a month ago at the The Game Awards 2019. However, it was revealed that this new IP is an action RPG that takes place in a fantasy universe and sees players engaging in “looter-slasher” gameplay. Godfall aims to be highly replayable and will come to PlayStation 5 as well as the Epic Games Store in 2020.

Today’s leak marks the second occurrence of in-game footage making its way to the internet, as Counterplay actually shared a gameplay GIF the day after the initial reveal.
