An old saying is that where there is smoke, there is fire, and it appears that a Horizon Zero Dawn PC version is on the way. Earlier today, an Amazon France listing (which has since been removed) of the game indicated that Sony is publishing a PC port of the PlayStation 4 exclusive. This isn’t the first hinting at a PC release, as a report surfaced last month that said Sony is planning on bringing the open-world adventure game to computers, although no release date was given. The console manufacturer recently published its first title on PC as it put out ReadySet Heroes in October of 2019.
While evidence is mounting of a Horizon Zero Dawn PC version being a sure thing,Ā it’s also possible that this was just a placeholder listing. As shown by screenshots of the delisted title, there were no screenshots or artwork for the release and no details beyond the game’s platform and publisher. Typically an official listing, even one that goes up earlier than the publisher wanted it to, has more information than was available on Amazon France.
Developed by Guerrilla Games, who is best known for its work on the Killzone franchise,Ā Horizon Zero Dawn released to critical acclaim back in 2017. Feb. 28 will mark the two-year anniversary of the title, so an announcement of the series’s future or a Horizon Zero Dawn PC version could arrive sooner rather than later. The post-apocalyptic game stars a young hunter named Aloy as she learns about the world’s past and combats the dangerous mechanical creatures that roam the world, which has been largely overtaken by nature.
