Tactical Stance was one of the many new features introduced to multiplayer in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3. The Tactical Stance feature has returned in Black Ops 6, but it works slightly differently this time around.
What is Tactical Stance in BO6?
If you didn’t play MW3 this past year, then Tactical Stance is going to be a brand new feature for you in BO6. Fortunately, it’s quite simple to understand and learn, as it all does is change up how you aim down sights.
Tactical Stance allows you to turn your gun to the side when aiming down sights. This drastically reduces your long range accuracy, but at the same time massively improves mobility and close range lethality. Of course, you can make your Tactical Stance even more accurate at longer ranges with specific attachments in the Gunsmith, so you can have the best of both worlds with the feature if used correctly.
While Tactical Stance won’t ever be as accurate as simply aiming down sights the traditional way, it does allow you to design some intriguing loadouts. You might also need to use Tactical Stance to complete a camo challenge or event task, so let’s see how to enter Tactical Stance in BO6 below.
How To Enter Tactical Stance in BO6
Tactical Stance works a little differently in BO6 than it does in MW3. Instead of the feature being baked into the movement system like it is in MW3, Tactical Stance is only available by equipping specific attachments on your loadouts. If you equip an attachment that offers Tactical Stance, you’ll be able to enter it by using that loadout in a multiplayer match.
However, if you use that attachment, you’ll only be able to use Tactical Stance. There’s no way to change between the regular weapon view and Tactical Stance in BO6 if you use a Tactical Stance attachment. As such, if you’re planning to use a Tactical Stance attachment, you want to ensure that you’re also using other attachments that boost the accuracy of Tactical Stance. There’s no reason not to since you can’t use regular aim down sight mechanics with that attachment equipped.
To see what attachments have Tactical Stance benefits, look at an attachment’s “Pros and Cons” list when viewing it in the Gunsmith. You’ll be able to see detailed stats that go over exactly what stats are changing by using the attachment.
