Additionally, new DLC pack Humankind: Cultures of Latin America has been revealed and is out now on PC via Steam and Epic Games Store, retailing for $8.99 / ā‚¬8.99 / Ā£6.99. Port specialist Aspyr, which typically handles Star Wars ports, has developed the console ports of Humankind. The console versions are all available for preorder now, and you can check out the console announcement trailer below.

Meanwhile, the Humankind: Cultures of Latin America DLC contains the following:

  • 6 New Cultures: Caralans, Nazca, TaĆno, Inca, Argentinians, and Cubans
  • 6 New Wonders: Pyramid of the Sun ā€“ Teotihuacan, Maracana Stadium, Salar de Uyuni, Salto Angel, LenĆ§Ć³is Maranhenses, and the Atacama Desert.
  • 9 Independent Peoples
  • 15 Narrative Events
  • 30+ New in-game themed music tracks composed by Arnaud Roy

And finally, theĀ Humankind “Bolivar Patch” provides many updates to the game, but highlights include a reworked surrender system, rebalanced war support modifiers, infrastructure yield previews, and unique wonder effects. If you played the game in the past but had some issues with it, it’s possible this patch has addressed them.

It’s nice how historical strategy games offer closer looks at cultures that the average person otherwise might not think about much. Personally, as a half Puerto Rican, I think it’s really cool to see the TaĆno culture appearing in a video game. PC players can experience all of that today, while console players only have a few months more to wait for the release of Humankind.
