Ubisoft officially revealed Immortals Fenyx Rising during its Ubisoft Forward digital event. The game’s reveal trailer presents a surprisingly light-hearted tone complete with funky music. The story follows Fenyx, a customizable character, as they journey throughout the world fighting all kinds of beasts from Greek mythology such as Cyclops and Minotaur. At the end of the trailer, Fenyx faces down Medusa. The goal is to rescue the gods from the Titans.

Immortals Fenyx Rising seems to take heavy inspiration from The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, as evidenced by its art style and the fact that the game’s open world will be entirely accessible from the start. There will be multiple regions to explore, with Zeus and Prometheus providing comedic commentary during your quest.

Additionally, players on Google Stadia will be receiving an exclusive demo for the game. It will likely be very different from the demo on Stadia that was accidentally left playable for a short time earlier this year.

The game was originally titled Gods & Monsters until a leaked listing indicated that the name was changed to Immortals Fenyx Rising. Last week, Ubisoft confirmed that name change.

Immortals Fenyx Rising will release on all major platforms on Dec. 3, including PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and Google Stadia.
