While it missed the originally intended 2019 release window, fans won’t have to wait long forĀ Kentucky Route Zero to finish its critically acclaimed story and get a release on consoles. Publisher Annapurna Interactive announced today thatĀ Kentucky Route Zero: TV Edition will release on Jan. 28, 2020. It will hit Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One and come with the adventure title’s highly anticipated fifth act.
Originally an early Kickstarter success story, Kentucky Route Zero has released episodically since the first act (read our review) released in January 2013. Fans didn’t have to wait long for the second installment, which released just four months later, but the pace slowed after that. The third act released nearly one year later in May 2014, and the fourth act didn’t emerge until July 2016. Since then, fans have been waiting for the conclusion of the magical Americana adventure game that revolves around a secret highway that runs beneath Kentucky and the people that travel it.
