The development team behind the hotly anticipated Baldur’s Gate III has hinted that something about the game is coming next month.

The tease comes via a short video posted on Twitter, which concludes with the tagline “Something’s brewing,” accompanied by a date stamp for February 27. Unfortunately, nothing concrete about what fans can expect to see on that date can be gleaned from the remainder of the video.

Beginning with a quote from Volo, a storyteller within the game’s world, the teaser shares a series of behind-the-scenes snippets, including combat motion capture, coding, and a brief shot of musicians.

Baldur’s Gate III is the long-awaited third entry in the classic Dungeons and Dragons-based video game series. Development on the project has been outsourced to Divinity: Original Sin team Larian Studios, picking up production duties from BioWare, which created the first two entries in the late 1990s and early 2000s.

To date, Larian and publisher Wizards of the Coast have kept details of Baldur’s Gate III under wraps. However, this game will take place a century following its predecessor. Few specifics about the gameplay is available, though it will reportedly be based on the 5th edition Dungeons and Dragons ruleset.

No release date is yet available, though the game will be available only via PC and Google Stadia, at least initially. For more information, check out Gameumentary’s interview with the team.
