Marvel’s Wolverine Announced for PS5 from Insomniac Games

Insomniac Games is an incredibly busy developer it seems. Not only is it developing the Marvel’s Spider-Man franchise exclusively for PlayStation, but today Sony Interactive Entertainment (SIE) and Insomniac Games announced Marvel’s Wolverine at the PlayStation Showcase. We have zero details on it as of yet, as the trailer only shows Wolverine with bloody knuckles at a bar, being goaded on by someone else who is about to get hurt really bad, likely. Insomniac is full of Wolverine fans, and here’s the tiny bit we know about the game so far:

Marvelā€™s WolverineĀ is a standalone game being directed by Brian HortonĀ (creative director)Ā and Cameron ChristianĀ (game director), who recently led the creative efforts onĀ Marvelā€™s Spider-Man: Miles Morales, a game weā€™re extremely proud of at Insomniac. In the vein of ourĀ Spider-ManĀ games, our goal here is to not only respect the DNA of what makes the character so popular, but also look for opportunities to make it feel fresh and truly reflect the Insomniac spirit. Even thoughĀ Marvelā€™s WolverineĀ is very early in development, from what Iā€™ve seen of its emotional narrative and cutting-edge gameplay (see what I did there?), the team is already creating something truly special.
