NCsoft Launches Pre-Order Box Campaign for Lineage II and City of Heroes

North American Retailers to Offer Variety of Exclusive Items to Those who Pre-Order Highly Anticipated Online Games

AUSTIN, Texas, February 10, 2004-

NCsoft? Corporation (KSE: 036570.KS), the world’s leading developer and publisher of online computer games announces the beginning of its pre-order retail box campaign for Lineage? II: The Chaotic Chronicle and City of Heroes? in North America. The boxes will begin to appear on store shelves this week at computer game retail outlets throughout the United States and Canada. Both games are expected to launch commercially this spring.

Lineage II is the visually-stunning prequel to the world’s most popular online game, Lineage. Group with friends, tame powerful dragons, participate in epic struggles and lay siege to majestic castles in this massive medieval fantasy world created with Epic’s Unreal? engine.

In City of Heroes, players realize their comic book dreams in this online role-playing game that’s home to an entire universe of super-powered heroes and villains. Developed by San Jose-based Cryptic Studios?, players will be able to create their own heroes, choose from a variety of superpowers and battle the evil that lurks within Paragon City.

Those who pre-order the games will receive special items only available in the pre-sale boxes. Items will vary between retail locations.

Lineage II: Each box will come with a set of four collectible trading cards depicting a different character class in the game and the Lineage II soundtrack CD from award-winning film and theatrical composer, Bill Brown. City of Heroes: Each package will come with a special in-game “prestige power” unique to each retail version of the pre-sale box. Only people who pre-order the game will receive access to one of these powers. Each box also comes with a digital version of the limited-edition City of Heroes comic book.
