new Pokémon Scarlet and Violet info in trailer tomorrow Wednesday June 1 2022

New Pokémon Scarlet and Violet Trailer & Info Are Coming Tomorrow

The Pokémon Company has announced that new Pokémon Scarlet and Violet info is arriving in a trailer tomorrow, Wednesday, June 1, at 9:00 a.m. ET / 6:00 a.m. PT. The games were originally announced this past February at the end of a Pokémon Presents digital presentation. The announcement trailer revealed that this is an open-world adventure, which is quite the leap forward for the franchise. Even this January’s Pokémon Legends: Arceus, a game that offered unprecedented freedom and Monster Hunter-like exploration, is not a completely open-world experience.

[Update: Here is the new game trailer and release date.]

With the first trailer for Pokémon Scarlet and Violet last February came info on the new starter Pokémon: Sprigatito, Fuecoco, and Quaxly. Sprigatito is an adorable grass cat, Fuecoco is an adorable fire crocodile, and Quaxly is an adorable duckling. The central theme is they’re adorable. However, how exactly combat will play in these games isn’t clear yet. It is presumed the battle system will resemble the traditional menu-based system seen in Pokémon Sword and Shield, but Legends: Arceus introduced some exciting new quirks that would be useful in the more traditional games as well. Hopefully we will get clarification on this tomorrow.

Catch all the info in the new Pokémon Scarlet and Violet trailer on the Pokémon YouTube channel tomorrow morning.
