Call of Duty Military Advisor Hates 12-Year-Olds

There’s one particular player you’ll want to avoid while playing Call of Duty if you’re a foul-mouthed 12-year-old: Treyarch’s military advisor.

Retired Army Lieutenant Colonel and now Call of Duty military advisor Hank Keirsey is currently helping Treyarch in the development of Call of Duty: Black Ops, having worked on the franchise since Infinity Ward released the very first Call of Duty back in 2003. In his spare time though, Keirsey might be trying to track down kids that berate him on Xbox Live.

Keirsey talked up Treyarch and the realism of Call of Duty in an interview with CVG. “The reason I chose to go with [Treyarch] was because I did think they were doing a useful service besides making a good game,” he said. “When I played the original Call of Duty, after being a soldier, I screwed up a couple things. I know to check corners and when someone jumps out I was kicking myself. It was sufficient and realistic enough that it gave me the damn willies. I was waking up in the middle of the night thinking I could do much better.”

After he became much better at the game, he encountered that situation we all encounter when playing online: the incredibly skilled foul-mouthed 12-year-old. To all of you that happen to be one of these, if there’s anyone you want to avoid it should be Keirsey.

Why? Because he’ll come after you. He says: “Then you’re pissed off in multiplayer when some 12-year-old is kicking your ass. You think: ‘I do this for a living you little bastard.’ I’m going to crawl down your basement hatch and I’ll find you, you little … “

If you ever hear someone say “I know where you live you little bastard,” during a game of Modern Warfare 2, it’s could be Keirsey because that’s how he counters the use of improper language against him. Then he says: “Use all the expletives you want; when I show up you’re going to have a big bar of soap in your mouth and a boot up your ass.”

He’s joking of course, but it’s funny to hear the reaction of someone so close to the Call of Duty franchise on this issue. The foul-mouthed 12-year-old can even get under the skin of some of the toughest guys in the world.
