Chiptune Composer Revives Your Childhood For Any Price

This article is over 14 years old and may contain outdated information

A new chiptune album contains dozens of songs from the classic television shows we all know, love, and constantly make fun of.

Doctor Octoroc, the creator of 8-Bit Jesus, is back with a new project that should bring back fond memories for every single person reading this. You know those classic television show themes that for some reason have stuck with you to this day? Doctor Octoroc has cooked up an album full of 30 of them called After These Messages and is selling it for pay-what-you-want.

The album features themes from well known shows such as The A-Team, G.I. Joe, Alf, and Transformers. It also peppers in shows you might have forgotten about like My Secret Identity and Airwolf. However, my personal favorites are his renditions of Night Court and Gummi Bears. I like those bears, okay?

I could go on and on. Octoroc didn’t stick to just television show themes either, he also put in the themes of those Juicy Fruit, Big Red, and Doublemint gum commercials that I know you remember too. My favorite way to listen is to queue up all of the 30 themes available with friends to see who can guess what property they’re from first. The winner gets a Teddy Ruxpin doll.

More songs from After These Messages can be previewed here. If you like it, the album can be purchased on Doctor Octoroc’s website for any price you deem it worthy of. I like it most for reminding me about Heathcliff; may you find a value within it of your own.
