Bethesda Shows Off Dunwall City Trials Gameplay

This article is over 12 years old and may contain outdated information

It’s time for a look at some of the gameplay in the upcoming Dishonored DLC Dunwall City Trials.

Dunwall City Trials is all about the action. Rather than expanding upon the tale of Corvo (or any of the other characters in Dishonored), this DLC is all about getting from one side of ten different “challenge maps” to another, murdering and sneaking along the way, or perhaps just trying to get there as quickly as possible.

In keeping with the competitive nature of the add-on, there are online leaderboards, plus new achievements and trophies to be won. The trailer also features music by Dan Bull, who you may recall as one of the guys who asked Bethesda to “take them to Oblivion” a couple years ago, and while it’s not bad by any stretch it does underscore the “thrown together” nature of the Trials: You’re not actually experiencing Dunwall, you’re just waving your skills around for all the world to see.

(By the way, you can catch Dan Bull’s Dishonored Rap in full on YouTube.)

Dunwall City Trials comes out on December 11 for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC, and will sell for 400 Microsoft points or $4.99.
