Activision announces the PlayStation 2-exclusive ’80s edition of the Guitar Hero series.
Following speculation that an ’80s edition of the popular Guitar Hero franchise was in the works, Activision confirmed Guitar Hero: Rocks the 80s, a PlayStation 2 exclusive featuring an 80s soundtrack set to hit shelves this summer. Guitar Hero: Rocks the 80s will feature the expected upgrades, including new locales, unlockable characters and guitars and 30 songs.
The first seven revealed songs are:
- I Wanna Rock (by Twisted Sister)
- I Ran (Flock of Seagulls)
- Round and Round (Ratt)
- I Want Candy (Bow Wow Wow)
- Metal Health (Quiet Riot)
- Holy Diver (Dio)
- Heat Of The Moment (Asia)
