The marketing campaign is gearing up for the next James Bond film,Ā No Time to Die, and that means we start getting trailers for trailers, the first of which has landed and teases a whole bunch of action, ridiculously good-looking people, and Daniel Craig once again just destroying anyone else’s ability to think they look good in a tuxedo.

The road to the 25th James Bond movie hasn’t been an easy one, with the first hiccups coming when Danny Boyle was tapped and then dropped from writing and directing the film. From there the movie was delayed as the search for a new director began. That meant rewrites to the script from longtime Bond writers Neal Purvis and Robert Wade, then more rewrites from Scott Z. Burns, and then another punch-up from Fleabag‘s Phoebe Waller-Bridge. Once all the writing was done (or mostly done) the film got underway with Cary Joji Fukunaga at the helm, but there was an injury to Craig that gummed up the works, leaks about possible villains, and even an explosion. However, the movie is here now and with a decidedly retro logo to boot.

The film picks up after the events ofĀ Spectre, with Bond having left the active service and living a peaceful life with his true love, Madeleine Swann (LĆ©a Seydoux). However, he’s pulled back into action by Felix Leiter and must once again save the world from a mysterious villain. The teaser obviously doesn’t go into the plot, but we do get our first look at Bond girl woman Ana de Armas with some heavy weaponry, along with a motorcycle chase (reminiscent of Skyfall‘s) and a flipping car.

No Time to DieĀ will also star Rami Malek, Christoph Waltz, Ben Whishaw, Naomie Harris, Lashana Lynch (as the new 007), and Ralph Fiennes. It releases on April 8, 2020.
