Square Enix and Microsoft have announced that People Can Fly’s third-person shooter, Outriders, will be launching on Xbox Game Pass on April 1, the same day as its release. The game will be available on Xbox Game Pass for Console as well as Android mobile devices and tablets; there is no mention of PC.
This confirmation comes after the official Xbox Game Pass Twitter account teased another title coming to the service, separate from the recent plethora of Bethesda games added due to its acquisition into Microsoft. Many had speculated that the game was Outriders because the tease featured the word “anomaly.” On the planet Enoch, the Anomaly is a mysterious storm that has wiped out all advanced tech and turned wildlife into monsters.

Originally intended to launch during last year’s holiday season, the game’s release date was pushed back to February this year. After that, the studio delayed it once more until April but also announced that a demo would be available. This was due to needing extra time to implement more features like cross-play across all supported platforms. Additionally, anyone who purchases a copy of the game on PlayStation 4 or Xbox One will receive the next-generation upgrade for free.
Outriders will launch on April 1 for PC, Google Stadia, PlayStation, Xbox, and Game Pass. Check out our preview of Outriders as well.
