Popular dungeon crawler Path of Exile is breaking away from its PC exclusivity to launch on the Xbox One.
Got some good news for action RPG fans who prefer to game on console: popular “Diablo-alike” Path of Exile is making its way to the Xbox One. It will launch later this year and will contain all the content from the PC version, including the upcoming 3.0.0 expansion that includes Act Five. But best of all – just like the PC version it will be free-to-play!
It does come with some caveats. “Xbox One players will play on their own realm, separate to the PC realm,” explained the developer in a blog post. “This is due to small gameplay differences between the two versions, such as the number of Flask slots and how some skills are targeted. We intend to follow the same content and league release schedule on both the Xbox One and PC versions of Path of Exile.
“We’re really excited about this release. It represents over a year of work from a small strike team within our studio – the guys who also created our DirectX 11 version. We’ll announce more information over the coming weeks!”
