The makers of critically praised Guitar Hero have announced plans to release a guitar controller in the wake of Guitar Hero’s sequel this November.
The company, which filed suit against California based TheAntCommandos last month for selling rival guitars, has long been rumored to have a wireless controller in the works. Claiming that the Guitar Mania lines of products infringe on Red Octane’s trademarks and copyrights, the suit is still pending and requests an injunction against TheAntCompany’s products which include the only currently available wireless controller for Guitar Hero.
The controller will only be sold separately, and is expected to be available for $59.99 shortly after Guitar Hero 2 launches on November 7. The controller will work for the company’s original Guitar Hero as well as the sequel.
