Regretting Our Words and Deeds

Back when the concept of Hideo Kojima parting ways with Konami, (and by extension the Metal Gear series) was distant, it was very easy to be philosophical about the whole thing. Being a creative mind at a company as stifling as modern Konami must be awful, and let’s be honest, there are very few studios in the world that wouldn’t hire Hideo Kojima on the spot. Still, the idea of the Metal Gear series coming to a definitive end (and it is over, regardless of whether or not the franchise continues) is as terrifying as it is exciting.

Assuming of course this isn’t some kind Kojima master ruse and he doesn’t become CEO of Konami or some shit. Because honestly, you never know.
