Minimum and recommended PC specs have also been confirmed.
Grand Theft Auto V’s release on the PC has officially been pushed back, according to a press release from Rockstar Games.
Instead of launching on January 27th — two weeks from today — Rockstar has pushed GTA V’s release to March 24th, 2015. Grand Theft Auto Online will launch alongside the PC release, with no gap in between. [Writer’s Note: For clarification, the PC launch of GTA Online will include Heists.] Rockstar explained on their blog that the reason for the delay was to make sure the port was up to their standards.
“Our apologies for the slight shift in the date but the game requires a few extra weeks of testing and polish to make it as good as can be,” Rockstar wrote. “Moving a release date is never a decision we take lightly and is a choice we make only when we know it is in the best interests of the game and our fans. Thanks everyone for your understanding and we assure you these few extra weeks will be worth it when the game does arrive in March.”
The delay comes less than two weeks after Rockstar said the GTA V release date was “unchanged” on its official forums.
Along with news of the GTA V delay, Rockstar has also confirmed the minimum, and recommended PC specs in order to properly explore Blaine County and Los Santos.

Regardless of your CPU, GPU, and memory, GTA V requires 65 GB of hard drive space, and a 64-bit operating system. Windows 8.1, 8, 7, and Vista are all compatible, but Windows XP 64 is not.
Last up? A handful of new GTA V 4K screenshots, straight from the forthcoming PC release. The original 4K screenshots are in the gallery, but We’ve also downsized them to 1920×1080 — chances are most of you don’t have a 4K monitor to view the originals on — so you can view them on most any display. The originals have “4K” on the end of the image name, naturally.
