Open a secret panel and unlock the “Coffee Break” achievement / trophy with this quick puzzle solution guide for Prey [2017].
Deep in the Hardware Labs, you’ll be able to access Dr. Calvino’s workshop. It’s all part of the main story, and you’ll need to jumpstart the Looking Glass system to get all the info you need to destroy (or save) the Talos 1 station.
Before you leave Calvino’s lab, there is a super-secret little puzzle you can solve. Using a coffee tumbler and a hidden weight, it’s possible to open a hidden chamber with bonus Neuromods and a valuable keycard. Get all the details below.
How to Solve Calvino’s Puzzle | ‘Coffee Break’ Guide
You’ll find the keycard to Dr. Calvino’s Workshop on his body after completing a trip to the Talos 1 Exterior area. Once you’ve got the keycard, you can return to the office located in the Hardware Labs.
There’s a secret to Dr. Calvino’s Workshop — if you complete his puzzle, you’ll be able to access his secret stash of hidden items.
There are hints to solve this puzzle, using video recordings of the events and piecing notes together, but we’re just going to give you the straightforward solution. Here’s what you’ll need to do.
- 1. Pick up Dr. Calvino’s Tumbler, a red thermos on a red toolbox to the right after taking the steps down into the workshop.
- 2. Take the tumbler and place it on the scale on the opposite side of the room. There’s a table, and the small grey scale is under a lamp.
That’s all it takes! The secret panel will open and reveal a bunch of items. The stash includes: (2) Neuromods, and the keycard to Dr. Calvino’s Cabin in the Crew Quarters.
