During Sony’s PlayStation 5 event, it was revealed that Insomniac Games is working on Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales for its next-generation system.
The trailer below starts off showing Miles holding on to some sort of machine that’s generating electricity, slowly stripping away his iconic black Spider-Man suit. A voice also calls out to Miles, presumably Peter Parker, telling him, “It’s your turn. Go be a hero,” passing the mantle of Spider-Man onto Miles.
Miles is also seen fighting numerous enemies around New York City and rescuing civilians from falling cars on a collapsing bridge. The trailer ends with the slogans “Be Greater” and “Be Yourself.”
Miles Morales was a relatively minor character in 2018’s Marvel’s Spider-Man, but he was playable during certain parts of the game. It’s safe to say that he will take the central role in this upcoming title.
The footage for the Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales trailer was captured on PlayStation 5, and the game will release exclusively for the system in holiday 2020. Perhaps as a launch title?
