The first is Meditation Training, which is the largest part of the update. It is a new game mode hub that can be accessed from Meditation points located throughout the game. Through this, players can participate in new Combat Challenges and a Battle Grid mode.

During Combat Challenges, the player will fight against waves of enemies, and they have been designed to present unique challenges for veteran players. There are 12 challenges in total, and each challenge will have three stars. Earning at least 12 total stars (out of the possible 36) will gift players three new BD-1 skins.

Battle Grid is a sandbox mode inĀ Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order that allows players to create their own enemy encounters. The location, encounter size, difficulty modifiers, and overall combat difficulty can be adjusted. Additionally, two unique enemies from Cal’s visions during the campaign are available in this mode. Grid creations may be saved to be replayed.

Lastly, the Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order free update includes “New Journey +.” The Meditation Training game modes are exclusive to New Journey +, and players will be able to keep all of their collectibles from previous playthroughs, including lightsaber parts, kyber crystal colors, ponchos, and other aesthetic items. Any chests that have been opened previously will stay empty, and those that haven’t will remain. However, abilities will have to be relearned.
