Stolen Pixels #192: Max Blame, Part 3

This article is over 14 years old and may contain outdated information

Every couple of months the following line of thought finds its way into my head:

Enough with picking on Mr. Kotick. He’s annoying, but he’s not the devil and you can’t blame him for everything wrong with the industry. Leave him alone for a bit. You’re starting to sound deranged or obsessed.

And then he goes and does something outrageous that just begs to be mocked. It’s like he’s baiting me.

John Riccitiello has been pretty quiet lately. EA was probably my favorite punching bag in 2009, but they changed their DRM policies to be less openly hostile to the consumer. Then the layoffs came, and EA has been keeping its head down and licking its wounds since then.

And there isn’t much need for me to make fun of Ubisoft on a regular basis, because they are already a joke.

Shamus Young is the guy behind this website, this book, these three webcomics, and this program.
