We still know close to nothing, much like Jon Snow, but we now know Telltale’s Game of Thrones series is six episodes long.
Posting another teaser image today, Telltale Games has revealed its Game of Thrones series will be six episodes long. Telltale also said the game’s first episode will premiere soon.
This is one episode longer than some of Telltale’s other game series. Both seasons of The Walking Dead are five episodes each, and The Wolf Among Us was also five episodes.
Episode one of Game of Thrones will be called “Iron From Ice.” The game will also have five protagonists from the same family, Steve Allison, Telltale Games’ senior vice president of publishing said on Oct. 31. In the vein of Tales from the Borderlands‘ multi-protagonist storytelling, decisions in Game of Thrones will affect all family members.
Previous teasers from Telltale indicate its game involves the Forrester clan, the Ironwoods, and House Bolton.
A Telltale PR representative hinted earlier that the new game series will premiere by the end of this year, and all signs from Telltale support that. We could be seeing “Iron From Ice” quite soon.
Telltale’s Game of Thrones is based on George R.R. Martin’s book series A Song of Ice and Fire and the HBO adaptation, Game of Thrones.
