The Foundation Is an Excellent First Expansion for Control – Review in 3 Minutes

The Foundation is the first of two DLC expansions for Control. It’s a direct continuation of Control’s story, playing as Jesse Faden, who is now the director of the Federal Bureau of Control. You discover a new area and object that appear responsible for causing the Astral Realm to bleed into reality, threatening to destabilize both planes.

If you enjoyed Control, The Foundation is a 4-5-hour expansion that plays like a mini sequel. The characters, writing, and situations have the same balanced mix of horror and humor that keeps the story enjoyable while gameplay expands on the familiar to offer new experiences.

The Foundation releases today for PC and PlayStation 4 and June 25 for Xbox One. The season pass, which will include the second expansion on release, is $24.99, and it’s free for those who own the Deluxe Edition.
