Sméagol Faces Off Against Orcs in TGA Lord of the Rings: Gollum Teaser Trailer

Daedalic Entertainment and Nacon have revealed a The Lord of the Rings: Gollum teaser trailer as part of The Game Awards 2021. This time, the footage shows Sméagol as he faces off against the orcs. As Daedalic has explained in the past, players will control the fantasy series’s infamous character for a story-driven experience that tells a new story while staying true to the vision of the source material. You can see more stealth action and split-personality gameplay in the The Lord of the Rings: Gollum teaser trailer from The Game Awards 2021.

The Lord of the Rings: Gollum was announced as a video game spinoff of J.R.R. Tolkien’s fantasy universe in 2019. Though it was originally set to launch sometime in 2021, Daedalic delayed it back in January to sometime in 2022. Confirmation of new-gen versions of The Lord of the Rings: Gollum were eventually confirmed as more images and gameplay teasers arrived to help with the wait.

The Lord of the Rings: Gollum is set to launch for PC, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X| S sometime in 2022. We got to take a look at the stealth-action game earlier this year and came away a bit worried that it won’t be quite Gollum-y enough. Stay tuned for more from Daedalic and The Game Awards 2021.
