Developer Naughty Dog’s work on Uncharted 3 is done and it’s now time for Sony to take over.
Naughty Dog has put the finishing touches on Uncharted 3 and has sent the game to be certified. As long as nothing strange happens, the game will officially go gold in a few days and the pressing of discs will begin.
The information came via Spanish gaming site Meristation, which spoke to Naughty Dog’s community strategist Arne Meyer at a press event in Aqaba in Jordan. The game was finished off over the weekend, and then pushed out the nest like a baby bird. Uncharted 3 sees hero Nathan Drake once again seeking out relics and antiquities. This time, Drake and his long-suffering partner Victor “Sully” Sullivan, are looking for a legendary lost city, the “Iram of the Pillars,” in the Rub’ al Khali desert.
Nolan North, who supplies both the motion capture and voice for Drake, was also at the event, and commented on how grateful he was at the amount of input Naughty Dog had let him have with the game’s cinematics.
Uncharted 3 comes out for PS3 on November 1st.
