Vampyr E3 Trailer Shows Off the Bloody Streets of London

Dontnod Entertainment’s new game Vampyr puts you in the role of a reluctant vampire.

The newest game from Life is Strange developer Dontnod Entertainment is Vampyr. Set in London in 1918, the game thrusts you into the role of Dr. Jonathan Reid, a famous surgeon who has just returned home from the Great War. Reid has been turned into a vampire against his will, and now he has to balance two opposing desires: His oath to protect and heal the sick, and the need to hunt and feed on those he is supposed to save.

There’s a brand new E3 trailer for the game:

While the stylized nature of the trailer doesn’t share much about the actual gameplay, it does give a look at the game’s conceptualization of the streets of London. The official description that accompanies the trailer offers a bit more insight, though.

“To survive against deadly foes roaming the streets – vampire hunters, undead Skals and other monstrosities – you will need to choose which civilians to feed on, so you can grow stronger and evolve your vampiric abilities. Use your unholy powers to manipulate and delve into the lives of those around you – but be prepared to live with the consequences of your actions. A web of interconnected citizens with unique lives and relationships react to your decisions, and killing just one may cause the downfall of an entire city district. Your actions will save or doom London.”

Vampyr is coming to PC, PS4, and Xbox One in November of 2017.
